View the product →The directional control valve sends the flow to the machine's functions. It is chosen first on the flow rate it has to pass and the pressure of the circuit, then on the number of sections, the spool configuration and the type of actuation.
The spool centre in neutral is the point most often overlooked: an open centre returns the flow to tank and suits a fixed-displacement pump, whereas a closed centre is essential in front of a variable-displacement pump. Getting this wrong makes the system run hot, or holds it under pressure permanently.
We help you read an existing circuit diagram and identify a valve you have removed, and we supply the relief valves, check valves, coils and controls that go with it.
