In these applications, generic tubing has no place. What decides the choice is the material of the inner liner and its chemical compatibility with the product actually being carried, at its working concentration and temperature.

Food-grade work falls under regulation EC 1935/2004 on materials intended to come into contact with foodstuffs, completed by regulation EC 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice. Every range must be covered by its manufacturer's declaration of conformity, sometimes together with a reference to FDA requirements. Chemical duties are handled with UPE, PTFE or EPDM liners according to the product. Steam calls for a heat-resistant EPDM liner and cover, textile or wire reinforcement, and assembly with safety clamps. Hydrocarbons need an NBR liner and, as soon as the product flows quickly, electrical continuity to drain off static charges.

  • Tell us the product, its concentration and its temperature: a compatibility chart is not something to guess at.
  • On steam, no conventional crimped fittings: safety clamps, periodic inspection and purging before dismantling.
  • AdBlue attacks copper, brass, zinc and aluminium: the whole line is built in stainless steel and compatible materials.

We assemble these hoses with the hose ends suited to the duty and advise you on how often they should be checked.
