A hydraulic hose rarely fails because of pressure. It fails because it rubs against a panel, because it is crushed where it passes through, or because it gets hot next to an exhaust. Mechanical protection and routing are the two measures that do most to extend the life of a hose run.

The principle is simple: a hose must be guided but never clamped along its whole length. It has to be free to lengthen and shorten under pressure, to keep its minimum bend radius, and never to touch another hose that is moving. One clamp well placed on a straight section is worth more than three clamps in a bend.

  • Textile sleeve: anti-abrasion, flexible, for everyday rubbing and for bundling hoses together
  • Plastic spiral wrap: protects and gathers hoses together, fitted without removing the hose
  • Heat protection: reflective-coated sleeve for use close to exhaust lines
  • Whip-check cable: retains the hose if it fails, often required by safety rules at exposed workstations

We fit this protection directly to the hoses we crimp, and supply clamps, brackets and dust caps individually.
