Transport
Tipper bodies, tail lifts, walking floors, lorry loader cranes, hook-loader arms and plant transporters: Hydro Service Auvergne supplies the components, crimps the hoses and covers breakdowns in the workshop and on site.
On a bodied lorry, the hydraulics are added on top of the chassis. A gearbox-mounted power take-off (PTO) drives the pump, which feeds the telescopic tipping gear, the walking floor, the hook-loader arm or the lorry loader crane. The tail lift is the exception: it has its own 12 or 24 V electro-hydraulic power unit, running off the batteries, and works with the engine switched off.
The tipper's telescopic cylinder is the first to suffer: its stages come out one after the other, largest to smallest, and each has its own seals. As soon as one starts to pass oil, the tipping becomes uneven and the body settles while parked. On the tail lift, it is the repeated cycles and the road spray that wear out hoses and rod seals. On a tilt cab, the circuit is only used now and again: the day you need to tip the cab is the day the cylinder or the hand pump turns out to be at fault. A weeping fitting means a trail of oil on the public road and a remark at the roadworthiness test.
- Power take-offs, tipper pumps, power units and 12 and 24 V electro-hydraulic packs.
- Telescopic tipping cylinders, tail lift cylinders, tilt cab cylinders and plant transporter ramp cylinders.
- Directional control valves, pressure relief valves, cable controls and outrigger safety check valves.
- Tail lift, crane and tilt cab hoses, protective sleeving and clamps.
We supply the components and crimp your hoses, in EN 853 1SN and 2SN braided hose or in compact EN 857 where the chassis does not give the bend radius you need. Tail lifts and lorry loader cranes are subject to periodic statutory inspection: tell us, as their hoses and valves are replaced to identical specifications. Bring us the hose you have removed, or note the length between sealing faces, the inside diameter, the thread and the seat type (BSP, JIC, ORFS) and the orientation of the elbows.
